Community guidelines

A stage where talent can shine safely.

Castglo Live exists to give people a fair opportunity to perform, compete, discover talent and be discovered. That only works when everyone feels safe, respected and able to participate without intimidation, exploitation or abuse.

These Community Guidelines apply to everyone who uses Castglo Live — including performers, viewers, guardians, judges, casting professionals and anyone taking part in our community. By using Castglo Live, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Where a Report option appears on Castglo, use it. Until then, report a concern by email and include as much detail as you reasonably can.

1Respect everyone

Treat other people with dignity.

We do not allow:

  • Bullying, intimidation or harassment.
  • Threats or abusive behaviour.
  • Targeted humiliation or attempts to shame another person.
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual comments.
  • Repeated unwanted contact.
  • Encouraging others to attack or harass someone.

Criticism of a performance is not the same as attacking the performer. Keep feedback constructive.

2No hate or discrimination

Castglo is a global stage.

We do not tolerate content or behaviour that attacks, dehumanises, threatens or promotes hatred against people because of characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics.

Talent can come from anywhere. Everyone deserves respect.

3Protect children and young people

The safety of under-18s comes before everything else.

We have zero tolerance for:

  • Child sexual exploitation or abuse.
  • Grooming or attempts to establish inappropriate relationships with children.
  • Sexualised comments about children.
  • Requests for sexual images or videos.
  • Attempts to move a child into private or secret communication for inappropriate purposes.
  • Encouraging a child to conceal communication from their parent or guardian.
  • Exploitation, coercion or manipulation of a child.
  • Sharing sexual or exploitative images involving anyone under 18.

Suspected child exploitation may result in immediate account restriction or removal and, where appropriate or required, referral to relevant authorities.

Read our Under-18s and guardians guidance

4Keep performances appropriate

Creativity is welcome. Harmful or exploitative content is not.

Do not upload, livestream or share:

  • Pornography or explicit sexual activity.
  • Sexual exploitation.
  • Graphic violence.
  • Content promoting serious violence or criminal activity.
  • Content deliberately designed to shock through extreme injury or suffering.
  • Dangerous challenges likely to cause serious injury.
  • Content encouraging suicide or serious self-harm.
  • Illegal content.

Artistic performances may sometimes address difficult subjects. Context matters, but safety always comes first.

5Keep personal information safe

Do not share another person's private information without permission.

This includes:

  • Home addresses.
  • Private telephone numbers.
  • Personal email addresses.
  • Financial information.
  • Identity documents.
  • School locations.
  • Live or precise location information.
  • Private messages or confidential material.

Be particularly careful with information about children.

6Be yourself

Do not impersonate another person, performer, organisation, judge or member of the Castglo team.

Do not use misleading identities to manipulate competitions, contact performers or deceive the community.

We may request identity or age verification where necessary to protect users or maintain competition integrity.

7Compete fairly

Castglo competitions must be won by talent and genuine audience participation — not manipulation.

You must not:

  • Buy, sell or artificially generate votes.
  • Use bots, automated systems or fake accounts to influence results.
  • Coordinate fraudulent voting.
  • Manipulate competition rankings.
  • Attempt to interfere with judging systems.
  • Bribe or improperly influence judges, contestants or other participants.
  • Exploit technical vulnerabilities to gain an unfair advantage.

Where manipulation is detected, votes may be removed and a contestant may be disqualified.

8No scams or financial exploitation

Do not use Castglo to deceive other users or obtain money, personal information or services dishonestly.

This includes:

  • Fake casting opportunities.
  • Fraudulent representation offers.
  • Advance-fee scams.
  • False prize claims.
  • Phishing.
  • Fake sponsorships.
  • Requests for payment under false pretences.

Castglo competitions, payments and digital features must only be used through authorised Castglo systems where applicable.

9Use messaging responsibly

Messaging should be used for legitimate communication.

Do not use it to:

  • Spam other users.
  • Harass someone.
  • Send sexual or threatening messages.
  • Pressure another user to provide personal information.
  • Groom or exploit young performers.
  • Send malicious links or scams.

Extra safeguards may apply to accounts belonging to under-18s.

10Respect intellectual property

Only upload or perform content you have the right to use.

Do not deliberately upload another person's copyrighted work, recordings, images or performances and claim them as your own.

You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights or permissions for the material you submit.

11Livestream responsibly

What happens live still matters.

During livestreams:

  • Follow the same standards that apply everywhere else on Castglo.
  • Do not encourage dangerous or illegal activity.
  • Do not reveal private information.
  • Do not sexually exploit or harass others.
  • Do not use livestreams to arrange inappropriate contact with children.

Castglo may interrupt or end a livestream where there is a safety concern or serious breach of these guidelines.

12Do not misuse reporting

Reporting helps protect the community.

Do not knowingly submit false reports to intimidate another contestant, silence criticism, interfere with a competition or target someone you dislike.

Good-faith reports will never be penalised simply because Castglo ultimately decides that no violation occurred.

13How we enforce these guidelines

We consider the nature of the content, context, severity of the behaviour, previous violations and the risk to other users.

Depending on the circumstances, Castglo may:

  • Remove content.
  • Restrict certain features.
  • Remove comments or messages.
  • Remove fraudulent votes.
  • End a livestream.
  • Issue a warning.
  • Suspend an account.
  • Disqualify a contestant.
  • Permanently remove an account.
  • Preserve relevant evidence.
  • Refer serious matters to law enforcement, safeguarding agencies or other appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.

Serious child-safety concerns may result in immediate action.

One rule above all

Perform boldly. Compete fairly. Treat people well.

This is your stage. Help us keep it safe.
